Methods and about best practice

Software engineering:

When it comes to providing an effective solution for a customer's requirement, Z-omo actively utilises the methods and values of Agile software development to produce useful business applications.

The key features of a large-scale project will always evolve over time. So, by promoting continuous customer collaboration; paying close attention to a solution's design and technical quality; working to rapid delivery cycles and adapting to feedback, Z-omo aims to produce real business value within shorter time-scales.

Internet security:

Crucial to developing web-based business applications is a high level of security awareness.  All applications developed by Z-omo are built following internet security best practices to protect against known web attacks.

Web standards and accessibility:

Z-omo builds all internet based content using web standards as ratified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) combined with best practices for accessibility as specified by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

Adopting web standards for building of web content produces clean, correctly structured Markup with many benefits for both the clients and their end users.

Of crucial importance for web-based content is to make sure it is for search engines both productive and accessible. To help with this Z-omo carefully considers the content flow (from top to bottom): how and what content should be included within the presentation medium.

To further enhance the content, Z-omo adds semantics, utilising, as appropriate, meta and microdata methods such as Microformat and Resource Description Framework (RDFa). These same methods can also have benefits for accessibility, providing more information to assistive technologies.
